Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe that we have completed the first marking period of the 2012-13 school year. I am proud of the effort that our students have made so far this year in being great Halfman Hawks! The report cards reflect an outstanding number of students that have received awards in the areas of Perfect Attendance, Academic Honor Roll, and Citizenship. We honor our students for their accomplishments at our bi-weekly Success Assembly. All of our students have the chance to be recognized at our Success Assembly by achieving in the classroom, but also by doing good things for others. Most importantly we stress that all of our students should try their personal best!

Thank you to all of our parents and families that have supported us in our efforts to be the very best school that we can be. We have a fabulous PTO that works hard on a daily basis to help our staff in providing the little extras that make Halfman a special place. Please call our office to see how you can be a part of our great volunteer network!

In closing, I just want to ask for your continued cooperation in following our very important traffic safety pattern. It is very important, especially on our dark, wintry mornings, to adhere to the following: East of Hudson, South on Couzens, West on Brockton. Students should exit only on the school curb side and continue walking on the sidewalk to their entry door. Please do not use the staff parking lot for drop-off and pick-up. It is very dangerous for students walking into the building. On school emergency closing days, you will receive an alert message from the School Messenger phone system. Please provide the school with your current contact information to ensure that messages are sent to you. Thank you again for your support.
